Elastic Thread Feed Systems

AccraTec Engineering has followed the evolution of personal Care product elastic features and developed state of the art technologies for the feeding, handling, and introduction of elastic threads to production processes. By working closely with all major elastic thread manufacturers, AccraTec’s objective is to assure our customers of; trouble free, efficient elastic thread feeding, manufacturers specified thread performance, and achievement of the highest elastic thread value.

 

In achieving our objective, AccraTec supports a full time focus on elastic thread manufacturers specifications, thread utilization, and an understanding of personal care product elastic feature development. AccraTec also has a wholly owned, affiliate company providing technical support to a European supplier of personal care product production equipment, keeping AccraTec up to date regarding machine speeds, operating parameters, and production performance objectives.

 

AccraTec’s elastic thread focus is realized through the following on-going activities:

Testing and Evaluation

Working closely with thread manufacturers and customers, AccraTec tests feeding system efficiencies, thread path configuration, and documents various elements of thread performance. AccraTec’s in-house testing lab equipment provides detailed data regarding elongation management, tension assessments, evaluation of customer thread paths, and thread break analysis.

 

Development and Design of Elastic Thread Feeding System Technologies

In response to discussions with thread manufacturers and personal care product producers, and test results, AccraTec supports on-going feeding system development and design change. In that way AccraTec maintains state of the art systems in response to thread manufacturers, operating specifications of product producers, and production equipment suppliers.

 

Elastic Laminate Development and Trials

In response to the personal care product industry evolvement of new generation elastic features, and elastic thread manufacturers product development AccraTec has added a narrow web laminator to our test equipment. The lamination system provides both ultrasonic and hot melt adhesive bonding and incorporates precise web tensioning and web speeds consistent with state of the art production equipment.
