The AccraTec Engineering, Inc. T-Series, positive draft, elastic thread feeding system was introduced in 1987 to give manufacturers of personal care products a reliable system for introducing elastic threads into the production process. Since introduction of the original T-Series configuration, enhanced T-Series models and new thread feeding technologies have been introduced in response to the efficiency and value objectives of the personal care products industry.
Integration of an AccraTec elastic thread feeding system addresses a number of key factors in the production of personal care products:
- Positive feeding of elastic threads. Using driven draft rolls consistent thread elongation and uniform force is maintained. The consistent force allows high elongations, assures uniform elastic feature performance, less breaks, and consistent handling within the production machine. Uniform elongation provides optimum thread use value.
- Single stage drafting and isolation of the elongation force at the draft roll avoids thread tension transfer to the thread spool and prevents breaks caused by thread spool blocking effect.
- Accurate thread feed is automatically maintained through out the full range of production speed variations.
- Clear set-up and programming procedures allow in-house technicians to integrate and place the unwind system on-line efficiently.
